Employee Self-Service Features

What is employee self-service available on the MyUNT portal?

Employee Self-Service allows you to access much of the data that is maintained about you in EIS. Not all information can be viewed or updated online in EIS, therefore, some changes to your information will continue to be made through traditional channels. The great advantage of the Self-Service feature is that you can see what needs to be updated because you have direct access to view your biographic and demographic data, paycheck data, benefits data, etc. The data is available to you at all times except for scheduled EIS maintenance times. To access the Employee Self-Service features, you must log into the portal at https://my.unt.edu.

What information is available for faculty and staff using employee self-service features?

Faculty and staff information that can be seen online through MyUNT is as follows:

  • Personal information: home/mailing address, phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts
  • Benefits information: medical, insurance, and retirement plan you are currently enrolled in
  • Payroll information: paycheck history, compensation history, direct deposit account information, W-4 information and general deductions (ie. parking, recreational sports, long term care, etc.)
  • Training history: classes that you have enrolled in beginning May 2004 (history prior to May 2004 is achieved in a different system and is available on request from the Human Resources Training Department)

What information is currently not available to faculty and staff in self-service?

  • Data prior to September 1, 2003, is not available in EIS. Although the data is not readily available to been seen online, it is preserved in a data warehouse for historical and reporting purposes.
  • Items such as leave balances and education history are currently not available in self-service; however, these items will be added in the future.
