EIS Gradebook Supports UNTHSC Student Success
The UNT Health Science Center (HSC) has recently implemented the EIS Gradebook functionality within the Faculty and Student Center portals for the Physician Assistant and Premedical Science Program. UNTHSC Programmer Analyst, Prafulla Srinivasan, reports that this new functionality assists faculty and department chairs in better monitoring a student’s progress during a class instead of waiting until the end of a term. This added functionality also allows students to view their assignments, grades, and instructor comments from within their own EIS Student Center. “This is a very valuable feature that should promote our retention efforts at UNTHSC, “says Thomas Morrman, Ed.D., Vice President for Student Affairs. “This implementation will provide the Center for Academic Performance the ability to offer timely interventions for students experiencing academic challenges.”
Future plans include releasing the module to other schools and departments within the UNTHSC.
Portal Upgrade Successful
The myUNT portal upgrade to version 9.0 was a success. Students and employees can experience the enhanced design and functionality at http://my.unt.edu/ immediately.
Planned Outage to myUNT Portal for Software Upgrade
The EIS Portal System named myUNT (http://my.unt.edu) is being upgraded to an enhanced version of software. Beginning at 8 a.m on Saturday, April 25th, the myUNT portal (http://my.unt.edu) will be unavailable until Monday, April 27th.
The HSC portal (http://my.hsc.unt.edu/) will not be available for its current users during this system outage.
The outage will not impact student services independent of the portal, such as Blackboard Vista and EagleConnect. Business processes accessed through myUNT, such as Workforce Administration, Time and Labor, Records and Enrollment will be available through https://myLS.unt.edu. Cognos Budget reports and employee leave balances normally viewed through the portal will not be accessible.
Portal Upgrade Delayed
Due to the current schedule that opens registration to freshmen on April 16th, we will delay the Portal 9.0 upgrade to the following weekend (April 25-26). An outage page will be posted during the upgrade that includes links to Blackboard Vista, EagleConnect, and other external systems that are normally accessed through my.unt.edu.
EIS Financials System Upgrade: e-Pro Processing Changes
