EIS Home Page (Welcome)
EIS (Enterprise Information System) is the primary administrative information system for the University of North Texas System (UNTS). EIS is a suite of integrated application software based on the Oracle-PeopleSoft (PS) product line and various ancillary applications linked to the product line. The enterprise-wide system provides support to multiple campuses. EIS replaced the legacy mainframe system and is expected to support the institution for the next 20 years. EIS primarily manages core business processes for the areas of payroll, purchasing, budgeting, student administration, accounting and other student and administrative areas. The EIS, along with the RDS data warehouse and several ancillary reporting tools, improve end-user access to integrated data for analysis that supports operational and strategic decision-making needs.
EIS is divided into distinct environments - Learning Solutions (LS), Financials (FS), and Portal (PA). The module lead departments for FS environments are Finance and Budgets. For the LS environments, the module lead departments are Human Resources, Payroll, Contributor Relations (alumni services), and Student Administration (Admissions, Student Records, Student Finances, and Financial Aid/Scholarship). Additionally, the EIS Portal serves as a web-based entry point for students, faculty, and staff to access self-service features and information about UNTS activities and services. The portal serves as a report distribution platform for significant reports, such as Budgets, to institutional administrative offices. The EIS Portal presents a unified appearance across the entire UNTS user community.
